When you’re in the heat of the battle and
you feel like you've been thrown to the lions, do your job! Don't get caught up
in the stress!

Stay firmly planted, don't let the Haters shake your tree. |
Recently I had a
co-worker say to me, "Oh did you hear what 'Suzie' said, she said, 'such
and such' about you. (Forgive her she was
new and now no longer works here??!!!!). This co-worker was telling me that
this other co-worker was complaining about me. I just said to ‘Little Miss Nosy', "so
what, who cares"? Sometimes you
really have to have a ‘don't care’ attitude.
As far as I'm concerned I care about what the supervisors have to say
and although I may to some extent think about what senior staff say, what my
supervisor says holds much more weight. Because when it comes down to it if your called by your boss, doing what you've been instructed to do is what will save you.

I stay focused. |
My work, my job, is very stressful. I work in the customer service industry and
trying to please customers, while following supervisor’s guidelines and getting
along with coworkers is not easy.
Especially when coworkers are competing for job survival, and job
sustainability. But I stay on track!
I have no problem being a lone ranger in my
job because my job requires minimal interaction with my coworkers. I listen to my supervisor’s instruction. I listen and keep track of what's going on
around me. And I communicate with my
customers. I do my job!

I won't let anyone take anything I want away from me. My job and schooling included. |
When people want to pull their anti-social behavior
on me I don't worry, because by being isolated from my cohorts also means I am not in their mix
up. I can't count how many times I have
been saved from their problems because I am not in the midst of their social
circle, or their drama.
So I
don't get caught up in their stress.
Therefore, when your in a similar situation at work remember, I've gone through it too. Stay focused, do your job, and don't get caught up in the stress.
