P D V Caribe


Caretakers there is help out there to assist the ailing!  Don’t feel alone. 

PDV Caribe has a subsidy called the People’s Benefit Program.  It is available for persons in Antigua and Barbuda to apply to utilize this service of $215.00 towards groceries through a debit card used at CMC (Central Marketing Corporation), Antigua Fisheries in St. John’s, Spencer’s Supermarket in Liberta, and Aunt Mems in Bolans.  Eligible candidates live in a household which has a combined household income of $800.00 gross or less. 

 

What do you need to have to be eligible?

A valid Antiguan passport or an Antiguan birth certificate with a valid Antiguan ID.

 

Are you unemployed?

You will need a letter of recommendation stating how you are surviving without an income.  A letter can be written by a professional with whom you are not related, nor a politician; it can be penned by a minister of religion, a teacher, nurse or doctor.

 

Are you making a disability claim?

If so, you will need a medical report (a doctor’s letter), proof of income if employed, a pay stub or an employment letter.

 

What else is needed?

Complete the application you can pick up at the PDV Caribe office on Long St., St. John’s in Antigua.

 

How long is the process period?

It takes 2-3 weeks for the review committee to assess your application.

 

If my application is approved what will I receive?

A debit card with a $215.00 limit to be used at the above mentioned places for groceries.
