Shoot for the Stars

 

In life, you make decisions, go left, or go right.  The outcome may be black or white, right or wrong, but what about those grey areas.  I've been told to shoot for the stars, and if you fall short you may just land on the moon.  It's the year 2020 and life's too short, go for your dreams!  I am currently in between jobs due in part to Covid19.  But I just came from an interview.  In that interview, I saw an opportunity.  I chose to seize that opportunity.  I am skilled in one area, but I was going for another.   Some would say that I was diversifying my portfolio.  Some would say that I was being foolish.  Some would even say "I formed the ass".  But really, I was just aiming for my dreams.  

Most times in life I'm practical and logical, even wise and insightful.  But this one time I just left all that behind and went for my dreams.  I won't know how it will turn out until later.  I could have done the norm and walked out of there knowing I had a job.  But was it going to be another seven years of doing what wasn't my first choice?  Who could I have blamed, if I never even tried to go for what I really wanted?

 

When you're out of a job you think differently than when you are employed.  When your out of a job you think anything will do.  But when you do the job for years and you start to feel unfulfilled in your current employment you think to yourself, "why didn't I say what I really wanted"?  I may have gotten what I wanted if only I just asked and to think to yourself that I never even tried.  Never even tried to accomplish my dreams.  Well, I may get this job and I may not.  But at least I can say, I tried.  I tried to reach the stars, even if I just landed on the moon.
